- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.
- Incorporate the ground beef. Brown the beef thoroughly and drain any excess fat.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, salt, pepper, and thyme. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and fold in the shredded cheese.
- Roll out the pie crust and place it into your pie dish.
- Spoon the beef mixture into the crust, ensuring even distribution.
- Cover with another layer of pie crust and seal the edges. Cut slits in the top for steam to escape.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
