Description

Ingredients

  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the sliced onions. Cook until caramelized, about 20-25 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, caramelized onions, heavy cream, Gruyère cheese, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
