- 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the cauliflower florets. Cook for about 5 minutes until slightly tender, then drain.
- In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Heat over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked cauliflower and cheese sauce, mixing well.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, you can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
- Feel free to add cooked chicken or bacon for extra protein.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
