Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup melted white chocolate
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened (for filling)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 23 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Heat the milk and melted butter in a small saucepan until warm.
  3. Pour the warm milk mixture into the dry ingredients, then stir in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  7. Roll the dough out into a rectangle about ½ inch thick and spread softened butter over it.
  8. Sprinkle with cinnamon and pistachios, then drizzle with melted white chocolate.
  9. Roll the dough tightly and slice into 1-inch pieces.
  10. Let the rolls rise again for 30 minutes, then bake for 20-25 minutes.
  11. Mix powdered sugar with milk for the glaze and drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

For best results, use warm milk to activate yeast and allow the second rise for fluffy rolls. Variations include using different nuts and adding more white chocolate for extra richness.
