Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef (85/15)
  • 1 medium yellow onion, grated
  • 2/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef, grated onion, panko breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl until thoroughly mixed. Shape into patties, about 1-inch thick.
  2. Sear the patties in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  3. Remove the patties and let them rest on a plate.
  4. Make the gravy in the same skillet by pouring in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the bottom for browned bits.
  5. Simmer the patties in the gravy for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Serve warm with gravy over each patty.
