- 60 g granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- Cranberries (fresh or dried)
- Orange zest
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 100 g cold unsalted butter
- 120 ml milk or cream
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until achieving a coarse crumb texture.
- Stir in cranberries, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
- Add the milk or cream gradually until a soft dough forms, being careful not to overmix.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat into a circle about 1 inch thick.
- Slice the dough into triangles or rounds and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.
