Description

Ingredients

  • 4 tomatillos, husked and diced
  • 1 serrano chile, diced
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup queso fresco, crumbled

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blend the tomatillos, serrano chile, onion, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Toast tortilla chips in a large skillet over medium heat for a few minutes.
  4. Pour the salsa over the warm tortilla chips and stir gently to coat.
  5. Cook for a few minutes, ensuring chips retain some crunch.
  6. Serve immediately, topping with sliced avocado and crumbled queso fresco.

Notes

You can prepare the salsa a day in advance and toast the chips just before serving for maximum crunch.
