Instructions

  1. Season the beef round roast generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Place the seasoned roast in the slow cooker with about 1/2 cup of water or beef broth.
  3. Cover and cook on Low for 4-5 hours until fork-tender.
  4. Preheat the broiler in your oven.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and ground cloves.
  6. Slice the tender beef into thick rounds and place them on a foil-lined baking sheet.
