Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package King’s Hawaiian bread rolls
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp water)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  2. Combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, egg, sour cream, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl. Beat until smooth.
  3. Cut a pocket into each King’s Hawaiian roll, ensuring not to slice all the way through.
  4. Spoon cheesecake mixture into each roll, filling generously.
  5. Brush the tops of the filled rolls with egg wash.
  6. Place rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Make the cream cheese filling a day in advance for convenience. You can also experiment with different flavor additions like chocolate chips or berries.
