- 1 package King’s Hawaiian bread rolls
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp water)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, egg, sour cream, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl. Beat until smooth.
- Cut a pocket into each King’s Hawaiian roll, ensuring not to slice all the way through.
- Spoon cheesecake mixture into each roll, filling generously.
- Brush the tops of the filled rolls with egg wash.
- Place rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Make the cream cheese filling a day in advance for convenience. You can also experiment with different flavor additions like chocolate chips or berries.
