- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Sprinkle in the paprika, salt, and black pepper, cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish, followed by half of the beef mixture, and half of the shredded cheese. Repeat the layers.
- Pour the beef broth over the layers and cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
You can prepare this bake the night before and store it in the refrigerator. Reheat straight from the fridge.
