Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, along with the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  7. Drop the dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between them.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers remain soft.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
