Description

A vibrant hot sauce combining fresh pineapple and fiery habanero peppers for a sweet and spicy explosion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • 23 habanero peppers, seeds removed
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the chopped pineapple, habanero peppers, white vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Blend until you achieve a smooth, even consistency.
  2. After blending, taste your mix and adjust heat with more habanero if desired.
  3. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and place it over medium heat.
  4. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove the pot from heat and let it cool down.
  6. Once cooled, transfer your sauce into a bottle or jar and store it in the refrigerator.

Notes

This hot sauce only improves with time; consider making a double batch! Adjust the heat by modifying the habanero quantity.
