- 1 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
- 2–3 habanero peppers, seeds removed
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the chopped pineapple, habanero peppers, white vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Blend until you achieve a smooth, even consistency.
- After blending, taste your mix and adjust heat with more habanero if desired.
- Pour the mixture into a saucepan and place it over medium heat.
- Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the pot from heat and let it cool down.
- Once cooled, transfer your sauce into a bottle or jar and store it in the refrigerator.
Notes
This hot sauce only improves with time; consider making a double batch! Adjust the heat by modifying the habanero quantity.
