  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. Season the beef brisket generously with smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt, then position it atop the onions and garlic.
  3. Combine the beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a mixing bowl and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Pour the mixture over the brisket, ensuring it covers the meat well.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 8–10 hours, or until the brisket is fork-tender.
  6. Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and allow it to rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

The brisket tastes even better the next day. For a quicker method, consider using an oven at 300°F for about 4 hours wrapped in foil.
