- 1 cup sourdough discard
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (substitute whole wheat for a nuttier flavor)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon herbs (like rosemary or thyme, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the sourdough discard, flour, olive oil, salt, and optional garlic powder and herbs in a mixing bowl. Stir until a cohesive dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface as thinly as possible, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut into desired shapes using a knife or pastry cutter.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space for airflow.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
- Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before enjoying.
Notes
Experiment with different spices and herbs to customize your crackers. To store, keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
