Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing the angel food cake according to the package instructions. Allow it to cool completely.
  2. While the cake cools, combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Let them macerate for about 15 minutes.
  3. Next, gently fold the whipped cream into the strawberry mixture until fully combined.
  4. Once the angel food cake has cooled, cut it into small, bite-sized cubes.
  5. In your serving dish, layer half of the angel food cake cubes, followed by half of the strawberry mixture. Repeat the layers, finishing with the strawberry mixture on top.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
