Instructions
- Prepare the jalapeños: Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise. Remove seeds and white membranes for a milder sauce.
- Blend ingredients: In your blender, combine the sliced jalapeños with lime juice, garlic, vinegar, salt, and sugar.
- Achieve the right consistency: Blend until smooth or pulse for a chunkier texture.
- Taste and adjust: Taste the sauce and add more lime juice or adjust the salt if needed.
- Store and wait: Pour the hot sauce into a sterilized glass bottle, refrigerate, and let it sit for at least a couple of hours.
Notes
For a smokier flavor, roast the jalapeños before blending. The sauce tastes even better when made a day in advance.
